Does this guy like me or not? Helppp?

Ive liked this kid ( lets say his name is John) John for 2 whole years. we never have any cles together. we barely ever see each other but i cannot get over him. he is bad.... but 1st I liked him.. alot. and he liked me as a friend, i took it too far and he started to get annoyed with me and started to hate me (i was like 12 and didnt really no any better) but then after a long time we became friends again and he told my friend he liked me. i liked him. Then he told me he liked me and we were about to go out. BUT then this girl told me he told her he hated me and said all these things about me. i freaked out on him and he got pissed off cause here it wasnt even true. then we became friends again and went sledding together in a big group of friends ( he invited me) and we snuggled and hugged the whole time. and we started to talk more. then he told my best friend he liked me and wanted to ask me out. then he did over the phone. i said yes. and he didnt talk to me for 2 whole months. then we were at a party and a kid asked me out for him i was like ummm and then i looked up at john. john said " hey im not saying this, they are" so i just said oh and walked away. then later that night over facebook he told me he only hasent asked me out because he doesnt have a phone and wed never be able to hang out. then a month later some other kid asked me out and i said yes. i never really liked him but i gave him a chance. then my friend told me john told his friend that the guy i was dating is really desperate for going out with me. i still couldnt get over John no matter what happend so i broke up with my boyfriend...John and I have been talking over facebook rarely but he doesnt flirt as much as he used to.. and i cannot get over him.. What should i doooo!!!???
