How do I tolerate stupid people?

I'm getting really frustrated with everyone around me. Everyone seems moronic and dim witted and completely oblivious to anything going around in the outside world. Doesn't anyone read anymore? Then again, I'm still in high school. Where can I find people that possess an intellect higher than a first grader's?
