What happened to kelly clarkson?

Not a thing. She had an album come out late last year and it's her highest praised (unfortunately not highest sold) album. The reason the singles from the album didn't get much airplay is because she went against BMG and wrote the songs herself because she wants people to hear the real Kelly Clarkson. She's also had some other disagreements with Simon Cowell and the American Idol enterprise. However, she continues to be a strong vocalist and is currently working on jobs for her next album. And as mentioned by the previous answerer, she's on tour twice this year. One features her first 2 albums, the other is a Christmas tour.
