Well we would all benefit to know if there was another earth like planet in space, other life. The cons, well space exploration is very very expensive. You know a rocket lift off is about a one week of the human race uses in gasoline? I believe it is necessary. You move into a big house with a big back yard and you don't go in the back yard? In the future technology will be the answer. And scientist urge space exploration now because practice makes perfect. The more and more they work with technology the better equipment will be used to explore space.
