Wat happens wen transverse(light) and longitudinal(sound) waves meet each other?

The only effect would be refraction of the light wave due to the very small change in the index of refraction of air caused by the density change accompanying the sound wave. The effect is so small that it is difficult to observe without some sophisticated equipment. We have seen this in our lab when doing very precise optical calibrations - we've had to turn off all sources of air movement ot eliminate this effect.
